HOW MUCH ACAI IS IN IT ? READ FOR HELPFUL INFO . Nov 11, 2009
This is supposedly an Acai product . It doesn't tell anywhere, that I can find in the description, how much Acai it contains, only the amount of green tea extract. Green tea extract is cheap compared to a good Acai product . When I typed in a phrase for the search , I typed Acai weight lose. This is one product which came up. I AM NOT IMPLYING THIS COMPANY IS OR IS NOT AN UNSCRUPULOS COMPANY. This IS NOT THE VENDOR I AM REFERRING TO BELOW .
There is something which anyone considering an Acai supplement should consider. As reported by others in reviews of various Acai supplements there are MANY SCAMS around which want you to try there FREE TRIAL , for the price of S&H . What many don't know is that after they send the "free trial" your credit card is not only charged the low S&H for the original 'trial' , but if you can't stop it, your card will be charged an outragous price each month for the product. Most do not read or realize they are agreeing to purchase the product each month on auto-ship . I have read where the compaines will charge your card before your 'trial period' is over and send the product. Many have said what a problem it was just getting this stopped. They say that even if you do manage to get this stopped most will not bother to send the first full price order back to get the charges taken from their card. The vendors know this and will undoubtly make a lot of money in any case. ANYTIME a good product comes on the market there are people like this waiting to 'jump on the bandwagon' and get their share while the getting is good . BEWARE and read all you can before ordering , especially any of the FREE TRIAL offers on any product, Acai, Resveratrol etc...
I went to a site offering the Free Trial and it was for weight lose . I typed into the information spaces needed to get the trial for $2.95 , information such as I was 6' 7" and weighed 138 pounds , also 74 years old ( this was the oldest age I could use as the drop down ages only went this far). I once used 90 as an age when "applying" for Life Insurance and listed about 19+ medications I was taking and added a note which made it appear that my Daughter was filling the online application out for me, and that I got the medications from 4 different doctors. "SHE" added that I was on more medications , but did know where all my bottles were,and would send them as soon as she found them. I listed many similar medications such as several types of sleeping pills, antidepresents , opiates etc.. and asked for a 1 year life policy with double indemtiy for "accidential death" . I WAS APPROVED. Nothing to do with above , just to let you know you can be scammed by any means when you use a credit card number. TO CONTINUE WITH THE ACAI INFO: I put that I wanted to GAIN to 175 pounds. I was asked to provide more information and all the time , after supposedly using the information I used above they proceeded to state that this product was great for LOSING WEIGHT . I was approved for the free trial, SURPRISE SURPRISE !!!!
Here is the 1st statement which came up when I entered information in the initial spaces provided:

However due to the small number of trials we have left to hand out, there's just a few short questions we'd like to ask before shipping a full month's supply (that's 60 capsules!) rushed to your door.
I copied and pasted this( above ) . I was approved and was told, via the web site, that at 74 , 138 pounds, 6'7" I was a GOOD candidate for LOSING weight with their product. NOTE THEY SAY REMAINING "WEIGHT LOSE" packages. I was to be charged , after finally finding the 'small print' $87.67 per month. Similar products can be purchased, with no stings attached, on Amazon for as little as $10.00 for 60 capsules/tablets.
I doubt Amazon will allow this, although I have read many like this which they did allow, in the review and comment section. I just want to keep anyone from being SCAMMED . Hope this is helpful info. Imagine trying to scam a poor, very skinny, very tall, little ole 74 year man, and telling him this is very good for losing weight.
